Map updates

Latest change (2026-09-22): “Reinforced the building ledge next to the A site Balcony”. We found no source that explains exactly what changed. So B site and Mid lineups are treated as unaffected, and the A lineups that land around Palace and Default are marked medium confidence. Earlier changes: railing visuals on 2026-04-28 (cosmetic only), collision around the top of the Mid stairwell opening on 2025-09-26, and grenade collision on 2024-08-21. On 2026-04-01 Animgraph 2 changed eye height on sloped ground, and several spots here are on slopes, so every lineup was checked against sources dated after 2026-04-01. Also, jump-throws became consistent on 2026-05-18, and on 2026-09-22 the crosshair stopped depending on screen resolution (none of these lineups needs aiming through the crosshair gap), and on 2026-09-30 the grenade crosshair became visible during pre-round freeze time. We did not test any of it in-game ourselves.

What “confidence” means

A lineup’s “confidence” only says what its source shows — we haven’t tested them in game.

  • Confidence: highA source from after the map’s last update (a video, or Valve’s in-game map guide) shows it working.
  • Confidence: mediumThere is a source, but none from after the map’s last update shows it still working.
  • Needs checkingThe sources are old or disagree with each other. Test it yourself on a practice server before you use it in a match.

    Market Window — smoke

On a B execute: the CT in the Market (Kitchen) window can no longer see the site or the usual plant spot. Throw it with the Market Door smoke from the same corner.

Market Window — smoke — video, starting at 6:15 (opens in a new window)
Video: AndrianWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Back Alley — the open street on the T side, right in front of the B Apartments entrance (outside the room called “TV room”). Tuck into the corner there.
    2. Where to aim Look up at the tall stone minaret far off beyond the orange house on the right. Put the crosshair on the corner of the decorative frame near the top of the minaret (csnades: “aim at the corner of the lower frame”). To push the smoke deeper into the window, Tigerr aims directly to the right of the peak of that corner.
    3. How to throw Stand still and do a manual left-click jump-throw.
    4. Where it lands The Market (Kitchen) window on B site.

Note B site is far away from the only change since April (the building ledge on A site). You can also throw the Catwalk/B Short smoke from the same corner: aim at the tip of the building and throw with a plain left-click, no jump (csnades' “B Short from Back Alley”).

On a practice server, type sv_cheats 1 in the console first; then this command puts you straight on the throwing spot, facing the right way. If the note says otherwise, follow the note.

    Market Door — smoke

On a B execute: blocks the Market (Kitchen) door, so a CT rotating in from CT Spawn or the Market side can't peek the site.

Market Door — smoke — video, starting at 6:15 (opens in a new window)
Video: AndrianWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand The same Back Alley corner as the Market Window smoke.
    2. Where to aim From the Market Window smoke aim, move the crosshair down and slightly to the right (roughly 8° down, 5° right), and put it on the tip of the tree there (csnades: “aim at the tip of the tree”). Tigerr describes it as the point where you follow the building corner down until it meets the second edge.
    3. How to throw Stand still and do a manual left-click jump-throw.
    4. Where it lands In the Market (Kitchen) doorway on B site.

Note The “down, right” shift was worked out by comparing the two csnades setang values, and it matches Tigerr's description. With both Window and Door smoked, the CT holding B site is left on their own.

  • TMolotov

    Van — molotov

Burns any CT hiding behind and around the Van on B site as the Ts come out of Apartments.

See the image at its source csnades.gg (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Inside B Apartments, in the room with the green carpet: stand near the sofa and look down the corridor towards the window/exit that leads out to B site.
    2. Where to aim Aim almost level at the opening (window) at the very end of the corridor: about a third in from the left, at ledge height (csnades: “1/3 of the window, on the ledge”). Check the exact view angle with the setpos.
    3. How to throw Run-throw: hold W to run forward and left-click to throw. Don't jump.
    4. Where it lands On and around the Van on B site.

Note GettClutch: the most-thrown molotov is this run-throw Van molotov, but it doesn't reach the tight corner on the far side of the Van. The 2026-09-22 update did not change B site.

Mid

    Window — smoke

At the start of the round, blocks the AWPer or rifler in Window (Sniper's Nest) in Mid. That lets the Ts cross Mid and take Top Mid and Connector. You walk to one fixed spot, so it works from any spawn.

See the image at its source youtube.com (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand T Spawn: find the short stone steps facing the orange house with a patterned carpet hanging from its balcony (below it, on the wall, there is graffiti with a red “A” and an arrow pointing left). Tuck fully into the corner beside the steps and keep pushing until you can't move any further.
    2. Where to aim Look up at the carpet on the orange house's balcony. The carpet's pattern has small arches in a row. Put the crosshair on the exact centre of the second arch, not the first.
    3. How to throw Stand still and do a manual left-click jump-throw. Don't press W or run.
    4. Where it lands Window (Sniper's Nest) in Mid — blocks the window opening.

Note It was seen working in two 2026 videos, and the 2026-09-22 change did not reach Mid. But no video shows exactly this variant after that change, and the spot is explained through the video's narration, so check it once on a practice server. It is slower than the instant smokes thrown straight from each spawn, and a fast CT sometimes peeks before the smoke has bloomed, so throw it right away. Since 2026-09-30, pressing the throw button with the grenade in hand during pre-round freeze time shows the grenade crosshair. A reliable variant once the Ts have taken Top Mid: crouch behind the cart/box at Top Mid, aim at the corner of the box, then stand up and throw with left-click, no jump (Inspect CS2, Tigerr).

    A Ramp — molotov

CT delay molotov: at the start of the round, lays the biggest fire right in front of the doorway at the top of A Ramp. It slows down Ts pushing up the Ramp and blocks the T side's view while the CTs cross over to Connector/Stairs.

See the image at its source youtube.com (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand From CT Spawn, head out towards A site and go to the wooden box near the spawn exit. Stand on the right side of that box.
    2. Where to aim Aim at the TV antenna on the roof above the Ramp — the molotov should arc over the box.
    3. How to throw Run-throw: hold W and left-click to throw, releasing the grenade while still running. Don't jump.
    4. Where it lands The top of A Ramp, right in front of the Ramp doorway; the fire blocks the line of sight through the doorway.

Note Two 2026 sources show it working, and the Ramp is far from the Balcony building ledge. The Inspect CS2 video came out before the 2026-09-22 update. The starting spot is described only in words (“the right side of the box”), so test it once on a practice server. Backup version with an exact position (csnades' “A Ramp from Triple Box”): stand on the stairs next to Triple Box and aim at the windows on the right, then run-throw with left-click (setpos -897.986 -2331.135 -104.993; setang -16.47 43.68 0).

    Palace — smoke

For a retake or a mid-round delay: blocks Palace from CT Spawn without going out onto the site. That way the retaking CTs only have to clear Ramp, Tetris, Firebox and Default.

Palace — smoke — video, starting at 8:23 (opens in a new window)
Video: TigerrWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand CT Spawn: on the way out of spawn towards A, tuck into the corner on the left, next to the potted plant.
    2. Where to aim Look at the two-storey blue house with the big wooden door. Its upper floor has a small window set inside a deep frame. Put the crosshair on the top-left corner of that inner window.
    3. How to throw Stand still and do a manual left-click jump-throw.
    4. Where it lands Palace exit / around the Palace balcony.

Note The flight is long. The smoke lands near the Palace balcony — the 2026-09-22 change was made right there. Tigerr's video, released 2 days after the update, throws a Palace smoke from the same corner but explains the aim differently (the top-right corner of the middle one of the three windows), and its recording date is unknown. Check it once on a practice server. The spot is on a slope (Animgraph 2), but both 2026 videos were released after that.

    B Apartments — smoke

CT delay on B: smokes the Apartments exit so the Ts can't get out onto B site, buying time for the other CTs to rotate in. Also useful when retaking B.

B Apartments — smoke — video, starting at 1:21 (opens in a new window)
Video: BeezGameWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Deep on the CT side of B site (csnades calls this spot “Trash”): stand in the corner next to the rubbish bin and turn to face the Apartments exit.
    2. Where to aim Look up at the shed covered with a green tarp in front of Apartments (a street lamp on the pillar on the left, a minaret far off on the right). Put the crosshair on the brightly lit tip of the green tarp — directly above the near corner of the brick shed.
    3. How to throw Stand still and do a plain left-click throw. Don't jump.
    4. Where it lands Lands in the B Apartments exit room (the room with the green carpet) and blocks the way out onto B site.

Note Confirmed by a post-update video, but only by matching small frames from the video (the video has no narration), and csnades gives no console position either. Check the corner by the bin on a practice server with the grenade preview camera. The 2026-09-22 update did not change B site.
