Map updates

Latest change (2026-07-08): a pixel boost spot on Top Mid was closed. It is only a player-collision fix, so it does not affect grenades. The update that affected the lineups most was the one on 2026-03-04: A site’s Balcony was extended, Graveyard was closed, and the collision of the small window beside Second Mid Balcony changed. Before that, on 2025-11-12 the sky boundary that used to catch grenades was fixed, and on 2025-10-22 visibility beneath Quad and Balcony was changed. B site and Banana have had no changes since 2025-07-30. Also, on 2026-04-01 Animgraph 2 changed player height on sloped ground, and on 2026-05-18 jump-throws became more consistent. Every lineup was checked against at least one video published after 2026-03-04; we haven’t tested them in game ourselves.

What “confidence” means

A lineup’s “confidence” only says what its source shows — we haven’t tested them in game.

  • Confidence: highA source from after the map’s last update (a video, or Valve’s in-game map guide) shows it working.
  • Confidence: mediumThere is a source, but none from after the map’s last update shows it still working.
  • Needs checkingThe sources are old or disagree with each other. Test it yourself on a practice server before you use it in a match.

    Moto — smoke

Blocks Moto, the route CTs take from CT Spawn to A, together with part of Library. Ts coming in through Short or Apartments are left with only the site, Pit and Balcony to deal with. If you can only throw one smoke on A, this is the most useful one.

Moto — smoke — video, starting at 8:38 (opens in a new window)
Video: TigerrWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Find the vertical pipe on the wall in Mid (Tigerr calls it a pole). Stand pressed against it so that the pipe is in the exact centre of your body.
    2. Where to aim Aim at the hanging lamp ahead. Tigerr and Inspect CS2 aim at the bottom of the lamp, GettClutch at its middle. Start with the bottom of the lamp and check it with the preview camera.
    3. How to throw Stand still and jump-throw with left-click (by hand).
    4. Where it lands In Moto, the passage from CT into A site, after bouncing off a roof. A little deeper than the usual Moto smokes, spreading slightly towards Library.

Note Four creators showed it working after A site changed on 2026-03-04, but they describe the aim slightly differently (NealGuides aims at the point where two railings meet). So before you rely on it, check the landing spot on a practice server: hold jump and use the preview camera. It takes a while to land, so throw it early. Another popular Moto smoke, thrown from the corner of the orange/white wall in Mid, also works (Tigerr: 2026-03-02, 2026-07-01, 2026-08-27), but its only post-update source is that one creator.

    Arch — smoke

Blocks Arch, the unexpected angle on A that CTs rotating in from CT Spawn hold. When going into A through Long/Second Mid, throw it with the Library smoke from the same spot.

Arch — smoke — video, starting at 1:03 (opens in a new window)
Video: GettClutchWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Bottom Mid: wedge yourself into the corner of the wall (GettClutch: “this bit of wall in Mid”). Exactly the same corner as the Library smoke.
    2. Where to aim Look up at the roof drainpipe overhead. Aim at the section of pipe between the wire and the small notch/plank, slightly left of its centre.
    3. How to throw Stand still and jump-throw with left-click (by hand).
    4. Where it lands In Arch, after flying high, landing on the roof and bouncing a few times.

Note csnades: “aim at the drainpipe between the wire and the notch”. A flash thrown from the same corner, aimed at the top of the sign there (jump-throw with left-click, GettClutch 2026-06-12), helps you take Bracket/Long.

    Library — smoke

Blocks Library, the CT position at the back of A site, so Ts coming from Long or Short are not shot at from deep behind the site. Pair it with the Arch smoke from the same corner.

Library — smoke — video, starting at 1:20 (opens in a new window)
Video: GettClutchWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand The same Bottom Mid corner as the Arch smoke. Wedge yourself into the corner of the wall.
    2. Where to aim The antenna on the roof ahead. Aim at the thick part of the antenna (the grey box on it).
    3. How to throw Stand still and jump-throw with left-click (by hand).
    4. Where it lands Deep in Library, leaving CT no gap to come out through.

Note cs2util gives almost the same angle. Throw Library first, then Arch, and the two land almost together.

  • TMolotov

    Pit — molotov

Burns Pit, the CT’s strongest position on A, without you stepping out in front of the player in Pit. Use it when taking A through Short.

Pit — molotov — video, starting at 0:48 (opens in a new window)
Video: GettClutchWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Short, just past Boiler. Stand with your back against the wall/corner on the Short side (GettClutch lines up with the truck section on the site) — that way you cannot be seen from Pit.
    2. Where to aim Aim at the rock visible over the far side of the site. The molotov should bounce off the wall and drop into Pit.
    3. How to throw csnades: run and jump-throw with left-click (by hand). GettClutch (2026-09-05) throws this same “aim at the rock” molotov without a jump, running and using a plain left-click throw. Try both with the preview camera and use the one that lands deep in Pit.
    4. Where it lands Pit: bounces off the wall and spreads over most of Pit, forcing the player to come out into the open.

Note Note that the csnades angle points slightly downward (setang 12.51). Pit is next to Graveyard, which was closed on 2026-03-04. Videos from September and October 2026 show the Pit molotov from Short still working, but they explain the technique differently, so confidence is medium. GettClutch’s video is about the CT side retaking the site, but the throw from Short is the same. Inspect CS2: instead of exposing yourself, throw the Pit molotov from Short so that it hits the wall.

B

    CT (boost) — smoke

The key smoke for going into B. It blocks CT, especially a player who has boosted up onto the box at CT, so your team can get onto B site without being shot from CT. Throw it once you have taken control of Banana and Car.

CT (boost) — smoke — video, starting at 0:17 (opens in a new window)
Video: NealGuidesWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Top Banana: find the metal panel on the wall that says “GAS” (not the ordinary grey panel). Walk straight up to the wall at the middle of the panel, or slightly to its left, and stand pressed against it.
    2. Where to aim Look past Half Wall at the building beyond CT. Put your crosshair on the upper inside corner of that building’s roof, then raise it very slightly (csnades: “a little above the inside corner”). If you aim too close to the corner, the smoke bounces off and does not get up onto the boost.
    3. How to throw Stand still and make a plain left-click throw. No jump.
    4. Where it lands On CT, covering the box players boost from and the gap that gives CT a view of the site.

Note There is a harder version, thrown from the right-hand corner beside the pink door (Tigerr and GettClutch use it in 2026). Follow the arrow painted on the wall and raise your crosshair to the bottom tip of the metal rod, then hold left- and right-click together, tap W once briefly and jump-throw (by hand). Learn this “GAS” panel version first. Tigerr’s video came out two days before the 2026-03-04 update, but that update did not touch B site.

    Coffins — smoke

Blocks Coffins, and any player standing on top of it, when you go into B. Together with the CT smoke it covers both of the site’s main angles.

Coffins — smoke — video, starting at 11:37 (opens in a new window)
Video: TigerrWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Top Banana, near Half Wall: face the pink door and wedge yourself into the corner on its right side. Keep walking into the corner until you stop moving.
    2. Where to aim Turn towards B and find the sandbag on the roof edge ahead. Put your crosshair on the sandbag’s lower right corner — the point where it meets the top of the wall (csnades: “line the point up with the top of the wall”).
    3. How to throw Tap W once, briefly (a single small step), then jump-throw with left-click (by hand). Do not hold W.
    4. Where it lands On and around Coffins. In the first second the left side looks as if it has a gap, but the smoke soon spreads out fully and closes it.

Note csnades rates this lineup “very precise”. The W tap is where most people go wrong, so practise it 5–10 times. Throw it slightly before the CT smoke and the two land almost together. GettClutch throws from the same corner at the same sandbag, without the W tap.

    Car — molotov

Burns Car on Banana and flushes out the CT behind it — control of Banana shifts to the T side. Throw it in almost every round you play for Banana.

Car — molotov — video, starting at 7:50 (opens in a new window)
Video: TigerrWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Come up from T Ramp onto lower or middle Banana and keep running past the right side of the box on Banana.
    2. Where to aim Aim at the small tree sticking out above Car on the wall ahead. The molotov should hit the wall, bounce off and drop onto Car. It does not need to be that precise — just throw it at the wall, not at the back of the car.
    3. How to throw Run forward holding W and throw with left-click. No jump.
    4. Where it lands Car: the whole area in front of, behind and around the car on Top Banana.

Note Tigerr warns about two mistakes: aim at the back of the car and the molotov overshoots, so the CT fights in front of the fire; hit the wall too hard and the CT can peek from behind the car. Follow up with an HE grenade behind the fire and add a flash bounced off the wall. Inspect CS2: “you do not need a fixed aim to molotov Car”. There is a fixed-aim version: stand beside the T Ramp door, line the dark window up with the tree, and throw with left-click while running (csnades, cs2util). No video shows it after the update, so learn the wall-bounce version first.

    New Box — molotov

Clears New Box before you go into B — one of the hardest angles on B site to clear. A player there has no choice but to run out into the open part of the site.

New Box — molotov — video, starting at 13:50 (opens in a new window)
Video: TigerrWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Go from Banana to Car and look towards the site. Wedge yourself into the corner formed by the rightmost barrel and the wooden planks behind it, and stop moving.
    2. Where to aim On the wooden surface ahead there is a small dark heart-shaped mark. Put your crosshair just below the heart (Tigerr). According to csnades, line the bottom edge of the mark up with the bottom edge of the line.
    3. How to throw Stand still and jump-throw with left-click (by hand).
    4. Where it lands Behind New Box, covering the whole box, even its deepest part. If you threw a molotov at Second Oranges too, the two fires join up.

Note csnades rates this lineup “very precise”. Other lineups around Car are also thrown from this barrel corner, so memorise the spot well.

    B Site — pop flash

Pops right over the B entrance as your team goes in, blinding New Box, Dark, Coffins, CT and Second Oranges. Teammates hugging the wall when it pops are not blinded.

B Site — pop flash — video, starting at 12:35 (opens in a new window)
Video: TigerrWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand The same corner as the Coffins smoke: the right-hand corner beside the pink door at the top of Banana.
    2. Where to aim Find the arrow painted on the wall. Take your crosshair to the height of the arrow, then slide it left at that height to the corner where Half Wall ends. Aim at that corner.
    3. How to throw Hold left- and right-click together (a medium-strength throw), tap W once briefly, then jump-throw (by hand).
    4. Where it lands Right over the B site entrance, where it pops and blinds the whole site — even New Box and Second Oranges, which most flashes do not reach.

Note Only one source after the update gives the exact aim. Tell your team to hug the left wall of Banana (the left-hand side as you go up from the T side) and wait for the flash to pop. There are other B flashes thrown from the Car barrels (Tigerr, GettClutch), but their descriptions of the aim contradict each other. Either way, test it on a practice server first.

    Balcony — molotov

When retaking A through Mid/Short: after clearing Short and Boiler, burn Balcony (usually Mini Pit as well), where Ts who have planted the bomb hide. Pair it with a smoke in the middle of the site.

Balcony — molotov — video, starting at 0:30 (opens in a new window)
Video: GettClutchWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Inside Boiler (as you head from Mid towards Short to retake). Line yourself up with the middle of the wooden section of the wall.
    2. Where to aim On the wall ahead, find the second brick from the top and aim directly to the right of it.
    3. How to throw Stand still and make a plain left-click throw. No jump.
    4. Where it lands A site’s Balcony, sometimes spreading into Mini Pit.

Note Balcony was extended on 2026-03-04, so old Balcony lineups may now fall short. The only source after the change is GettClutch’s video (September 2026). The setpos is cs2util’s position, and we could not confirm that it is exactly the same as GettClutch’s aim — check it on a practice server before you rely on it. In that video GettClutch retakes the site by throwing smokes at the truck from Apartments and Long, and a molotov at Pit.
