Map updates

Latest change: 2026-09-22 (the “Rush Hour” patch). It fixed map holes in Long A Main Hall and changed the door geometry and grenade collision inside Jaguar. For that reason, lineups thrown through or into Jaguar are left out here, and the A Main lineups carry a note. Before that: 2026-05-29 closed boost spots, 2026-05-20 wall-gap fix, 2025-09/10 grenade and player collision fixes, 2025-08-14 night version and material update. On 2026-04-01, Animgraph 2 changed the player's height on sloped ground. Valve's official map guide (the “map guides” section of the in-game Esc menu) shows several of these lineups — in competitive mode you can open it during the first 5 rounds of each side.

What “confidence” means

A lineup’s “confidence” only says what its source shows — we haven’t tested them in game.

  • Confidence: highA source from after the map’s last update (a video, or Valve’s in-game map guide) shows it working.
  • Confidence: mediumThere is a source, but none from after the map’s last update shows it still working.
  • Needs checkingThe sources are old or disagree with each other. Test it yourself on a practice server before you use it in a match.

    Donut — smoke

Blocks Donut, the entrance CTs use to get from Mid into A site. The main smoke for an attack on A from Outside A.

Donut — smoke — video, starting at 9:08 (opens in a new window)
Video: TigerrWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Outside A, below the stairs that go up to A Main. Stand pressed into the middle of the diamond-patterned (lattice) stone railing. Valve's guide: “squeeze into the middle of the diamonds”.
    2. Where to aim The lattice window set high in the wall above the A Main doorway. Put your crosshair on one of the black square holes in the upper-middle part of the lattice. csnades: “aim at the black square”. Valve: “aim at the middle of the right side of this diamond”.
    3. How to throw Stand still and jump-throw by hand with left-click.
    4. Where it lands The Donut entrance into A site.

Note csnades rates this one “very precise”. Always check the flight path with the preview camera before the match. The CT smoke is also thrown from this position. Use setpos to go there and see exactly which hole it is.

    CT (A) — smoke

Smokes off the CT Spawn side of A site — CTs rotating back from CT Spawn can't see the bomb being planted. Use it together with the Donut smoke when attacking A.

CT (A) — smoke — video, starting at 9:28 (opens in a new window)
Video: TigerrWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand The same spot as the Donut smoke: stand pressed into the middle of the diamond-patterned railing below the A Main stairs.
    2. Where to aim Look above and to the right of the lattice window. Put your crosshair on the point where the top edge of the nearby wall meets the left edge of the tall stone tower behind it. csnades: “aim at the intersection of the buildings”.
    3. How to throw Stand still and jump-throw by hand with left-click.
    4. Where it lands The CT side of A site — where you enter A from CT Spawn.

Note Valve's official guide has a different CT smoke in Outside A, thrown from another corner a few metres away: “squeeze into the corner, aim at the top left of the dark square”, and jump-throw. The railing version is the one included here, because the Donut smoke is thrown from the same spot too.

  • TFlash

    A Site — pop flash

A pop flash from Main Hall (A Main) into A site. It blinds the defenders holding the site entrance as the Ts come out.

A Site — pop flash — video, starting at 11:44 (opens in a new window)
Video: TigerrWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Inside Main Hall (A Main), in the left corner of the corridor. Crouch (Ctrl), facing the bright opening that leads out to A.
    2. Where to aim Directly above the top edge of the opening at the end of the corridor — put your crosshair on the dark stone where heavy stone blocks hang down on the right-hand side. csnades: “crouch and aim at the dark spot”.
    3. How to throw Crouch and throw with a normal left-click. Don't jump.
    4. Where it lands Detonates just beyond the Main Hall exit, over the front of A site.

Note On 2026-09-22 the map holes in Long A Main Hall were fixed. That should not affect the flight path through the exit, but no source has shown this flash since that date. Tigerr aims at the inner left edge of the same opening, slightly different from csnades — for a pop flash either one works.

  • TMolotov

    A Default — molotov

Needs checking. The source is old or disagrees with others — test it on a practice server before you use it in a match.

Burns the usual spot (A Default) behind the box on A site, where CTs hide or play up close. Use it when attacking A or after the bomb is planted.

See the image at its source csnades.gg (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand The end of A Main that opens onto A site. Stand at the edge of the wall, where the Temple building shows up beyond the low wall.
    2. Where to aim Put your crosshair on the tip (right end) of the patterned stone frame on the Temple building beyond the low wall. csnades: “aim at the tip of the frame”.
    3. How to throw Throw with left-click while walking forward (Shift + W).
    4. Where it lands Behind the box on A site — A Default.

Note This csnades lineup was last updated in January 2024 — before the 2025-08 material update and the grenade collision fixes. Test it on a practice server first. A fallback that works in 2026 (Tigerr): stand inside Main Hall facing the window at the end, put your crosshair on the white box you can see through the window and throw. His exact standing spot is hard to describe in words, so watch from 10:36.

Mid

  • TSmoke

    Top Mid — smoke

Blocks Top Mid and the area in front of the Red Room door. CTs on Top Mid and Elbow won't see the Ts going into Mid. Throw it at the start of most rounds, before you take Mid.

Top Mid — smoke — video, starting at 0:44 (opens in a new window)
Video: TigerrWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Walk out of T Spawn towards Mid. Stand with your back against the middle of the big square stone pillar at the T Spawn exit — the mossy wall is on your left. If you can see Mid's arched wooden doorway ahead, with a tree growing in front of the wall on its left and a wooden bridge on its right, you are in the right spot.
    2. Where to aim Find the patterned stone band on the wall to the left of the arched doorway. Put your crosshair in the middle of that band's second dark horizontal line, around where the tree trunk crosses the band. In Tigerr's 2026 video the crosshair is at the height of the patterned band, on the tree trunk.
    3. How to throw Jump-throw by hand: hold left-click and release it the moment you press jump. Don't use a bind. Stand still when you throw, don't run.
    4. Where it lands Top Mid, Red Room / in front of the Top Mid door.

Note All three sources throw from the T Spawn wall, but the standing spot differs slightly. Valve's in-game guide has you put your back against a wall slightly to the right (x ~ -391), aim at “the middle of the dark brick” and jump-throw with left-click. If the smoke doesn't land properly, open Valve's guide on a practice server and copy its position. To check the flight path, equip the smoke and hold the jump key — the preview camera will show it.

    B Ramp — smoke

Smokes off B Ramp, the Ts' route into B — to stop a fast rush on B, or to cut the Ramp off when retaking the site. Throw it as soon as the round starts.

B Ramp — smoke — video, starting at 4:17 (opens in a new window)
Video: NealGuidesWatch on YouTube (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand In the B-side corner of CT Spawn, next to the big sloped mossy stone wall. Stand pressed into the corner.
    2. Where to aim Look up at the sloped mossy wall. Follow the long diagonal seams between the big stone blocks with your crosshair and put it where a long diagonal seam meets a short seam — about a third of the way down from the top edge of the wall. csnades: “match the brick lines”. Match it exactly to the picture on the csnades page, or go there with setpos and look.
    3. How to throw Stand still and jump-throw by hand with left-click.
    4. Where it lands The top of B Ramp, in front of B Doors.

Note The aim point is on a plain stone wall with no pattern, so learn it from the csnades picture or the video, and check it with the preview camera (equip the smoke and hold the jump key). The same sloped wall is visible in NealGuides' video. Valve's guide has another Ramp smoke, thrown without a jump from a corner closer to B: “aim at the top of the branch”, normal left-click throw.

    Elbow — smoke

Needs checking. The source is old or disagrees with others — test it on a practice server before you use it in a match.

Smokes off Elbow through the House window — stops Ts from walking through Mid into CT/House at the start of the round.

See the image at its source csnades.gg (opens in a new window)
    1. Where to stand Inside House (the orange-brick room facing Top Mid). Stand at the edge of the wall beside the window opening.
    2. Where to aim Look through the window at the ruined stone tower beyond Mid. Put your crosshair on the light-coloured brick near the top of that tower. csnades: “aim at the light brick”.
    3. How to throw Stand still and throw with a normal left-click. Don't jump.
    4. Where it lands Elbow — the bend in the Mid corridor where it turns towards Top Mid from the T side.

Note No source since 2025 shows this exact smoke. The House area was changed in 2025-08 and later reverted (2025-08-18, the House roof decoration near CT Spawn). Test it before the LAN. In Tigerr's 2026-07-29 video an HE grenade (13:16) and a molotov (13:46) are thrown to Elbow from the same window, which shows this window's line works in 2026, but this exact smoke is not in it. A common alternative is the Elbow smoke thrown straight from CT Spawn (NartOutHere 2025-08-16, MacMate 2025-08-26), but the aim differs for each spawn.
